Speed Debating Exercise: Sex - Abortion- Women's Choice

Ted Busheikin graduated from the University of Alberta with a medical degree in 1959, having already completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Born and raised in Calgary, he returned to the General Hospital in Calgary for his internship.

Dr Busheikin subsequently completed a one-year residency in Pathology at St Paul's Hospital and a one-year residency in Medicine/Surgery at Shaughnessy Hospital, both in Vancouver, BC. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by two years as a medical registrar in England.

He returned to private practice as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Calgary. He opened the Kensington Clinic, specializing in abortion services, in 1991 and retired as medical director in 2005. In 2007, Dr Busheikin received the Christopher Tietze Humanitarian Award from the National Abortion Federation, the international organization's highest distinction which honours significant lifetime contributions in the field of abortion care.
