James Harbeck is one of the most respected grammar authorities in the Editor's Association of Canada - and one of the liveliest, too. He is a very popular presenter at the EAC's annual conferences as well as at other events. He has entertained and informed enthusiastic audiences on topics including English grammar, history, syntax, sociolinguistics orthography as well as HTML.

He brings his background in theatre and linguistics into play in his crusade for enjoyable and sensible language usage. He is also author of the blog Sesquiotica, which features daily word tasting notes.

James is a professional editor, designer, and writer (he also acts and sings, but no one pays him for that). Has been a member of Mensa for two decades, and he was editor of MC2 for several years.
