Friday, May 20 - Day 1

Optional field trips

  1. Guided hike to Johnston Canyon with Robert McCarthy, $20 admission.
  2. Sightseeing trip to Lake Louise, maximum 14 people, $20 admission.
  3. Banff Gondola and Hot Springs, self pay entrance fees.

3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Guided tour of the Banff Springs Hotel with the Hotel Historian. Meet in the hotel lobby.


Saturday, May 21 - Day 2

7:00 am to 8:45 am

Early morning hike, meet in the lobby.

12:00 midnight to 12:30 am

KMidnight Castle Ghost Tour. Meet Leslie Forward outside Ivor Petrak room on Mezzanine 2.


Sunday, May 22 - Day 3

7:00 am to 8:45 am

Early morning hike, meet in the lobby.

8:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Star gazing with Larry McNish and his computer guided telescope. Meet up on the grounds of the Banff Springs Hotel.


Monday, May 23 - Day 4

8:30 am to 12:00 noon

Optional field trips

  1. Slush Cup - Sunshine Village Ski Hill hosted by Jim Kinnaird

    The Sunshine Village Slush Cup features a number of participants attempting to jump over a large pool of cold water using either skis or snowboards. Many of the participants in the challenge adorn eccentric costumes as they attempt to brave the cold for a slice of fame. Aside from the great festivities of the Sunshine Village Slush Cup, this day will also mark the official end to the Banff ski/snowboard season. This year squeeze in one last chance to romp in the snow.

    Self-pay entrance/skiing costs.
