Parenting and Educating Gifted Children - the Paradox

Patricia Paterson is a BA, BEd and MEd in Gifted Education and is a Learning Leader for GATE and Advanced Placement at Queen Elizabeth High School in Calgary. (G.A.T.E. is an acronym for Gifted and Talented Education). Patricia has taught high school for over 25 years and claims "I stay young by working with young people--my students!"

Patricia has spoken at the 'Pillars for Gifted Education Conference', SAGE and at various Gifted Parents groups in Calgary. She is currently working at Queen Elizabeth High School with gifted students and personalizing their learning through technology, simulations and other strategies. Patricia looks forward to sharing her teaching strategies with an audience of Mensans.
