Robin Winsor is currently President and CEO of Cybera, a non-profit organization accelerating Albertans’ competitive advantage in research and development and has an excellent record in both scientific innovation and business development.”

Winsor has a strong background of experience in sectors such as oil and gas, seismic, geophysics, and medical science. He invented and developed the world’s first direct digital x-ray system, founding Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd. in 1991. In 2005, Imaging Dynamics won the Cool Companies Award for being an innovative and exciting place to work. In 2005 and 2006, Winsor’s company was among the top 10 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 fastest growing companies. Winsor is a past winner of the Manning Innovation Award and the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Winsor holds multiple patents in the field of medical imaging and has authored standards currently in use in the medical, well logging and seismic industries. He is a member of the American Association of Physicists In Medicine, as well as the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Winsor studied geophysics and artificial intelligence at the University of Edinburgh.
